Excited?

Wake me up when September ends!!!! Yay! I never thought that it’s already October now and our  most awaited first time to travel out of the country will be going to realize days from now. :) As I’ve said, we will be treating ourselves for a holiday since on the 7th will be our 7th Wedding Anniversary.
Well, part of us are so excited to experience and part of us will be sad because we can’t celebrate with our daughter’s 6th birthday on the same date. :( Anyway, my  parents will be there for our kids so I will be quite okay with this kind of situation. Hoping and praying that everything will go well.

Correcting Our Children

Disciplining our Children

As Christian parents, we have the awesome responsibility to lovingly discipline our children (Prov. 13:24; 29:17; Heb. 12:9-11). As we impart God’s wisdom to them, we have the blessing of helping them develop into responsible, God-fearing adults. (taken from Our Daily Bread)

They are buds of hope and promise,
Possessed by Him whose name is Love;
Lent us here to train and nourish
For a better life above. —Crosby

Failure to discipline our children is a failure to love them.

Student Permit (Driver's License)
Just this morning as I was excused from the office for half-day for the reason that I joined the CSC Fun Run, I grabbed the opportunity to get my Student Permit (driver's license). It's been a long time already that I really wanted to have one for me but time and opportunity did not allow such to happen. The transaction was done for almost 2 hours and well it's kinda worth waiting for.
Thanks God and after a month I will be aiming for my plastic card already! Oops! Reminding myself to master my driving skills this time....*woot*

Capture The Moment

Sharing some insights coming from Our daily Bread…

Capturing the moment means that we’ll do things like love more deeply, forgive more quickly, listen more carefully, and speak more affirmingly.

Paul gives this good advice: “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil” (Eph. 5:15-16). He also instructs us to “walk as children of light . . . finding out what is acceptable to the Lord” (vv.8-10).

Since none of us knows our “use by” date, we should capture the opportunities to brighten our world with the love of Christ today!

Lord, grant me grace throughout this day
To walk the straight and narrow way,
To do whatever in Thy sight
Is good and perfect, just and right. —Huisman

Live each day as if it’s your last.

Be Content

Insights from Our Daily Bread...

Contentment is not natural for any of us. The competitive spirit in us drives us to compare, to complain, and to covet. Few of us are in a predicament such as Paul’s, but we all face difficulties in which we can learn to trust God and be content.
O Lord, give me the grace to be
Content with what You give to me.
No, more than that, let me rejoice
In all You send, for it’s Your choice! —Anon.

Contentment is not possessing everything but giving thanks for everything you possess.
