Mommy Moments: Fave Entry

These pics below are one of my favorites...Actually, I have not even submitted these pics as an entry at MM but I used it in the other meme that I joined with.

I consider these as my favorite since this is the first time that the three of us were included in the wedding entourage of my dear friend weeks ago. I just love how my daughter poses every time the camera clicks in front of her.

**smile**Indeed a Happy Mommy Moments!

Mommy Moments: My Future Ballerina

mommy moments

About two months ago, I wrote about my daughter's experience of seeing Ms. Lisa Majuca in person as we watched the
Ballet Masterpiece of her at SM. She was so enthusiast at that time watching the said recital and that it only explained that she was so eager to learn about it!

I am was so excited when she turned three last month because I can already send her to a ballet school. Indeed, it was the start of a dream come true! Hahhaha...am I that excited? :) Well, last Saturday, I went to Clark Hatch International (CDO Branch) to enroll my daughter and let her observed the ballet class of the other kids. She was so hesitant at first that she wanted to go home but when she saw kids of her age and height that was the time that she got interested and join the group for her first lesson.

the warm up....

at the bars.....
my daughter is the youngest and the cutest of them all...
(with the diapers on) :)

Actually, she's not yet officially enrolled because her instructor would just let her IN to observe for two sessions (every Saturday). If my daughter's mind will be now ready/set for a proper class then that's the time that she'll be registered. Hope she will show some interests next week!
Indeed dancing is her forte! Happy MM everyone!

So sorry, that what I have found in my photo archive was about 2 years ago. I didn't find any pic of her doing some chores. I guess this will do since she really loves to sweep the floor even up to now. We sometimes hide all our brooms so that she will not get it or else...OMG! it would be a whole day affair! hahhaha...she's kinda OC at her age...hhhahaha

Well, just wanna invite you then to share your childrens chore time...

How To Increase Your Child's IQ

The best time to develop your child's brain is during his early childhood. The right kind of stimulation during the period will create the necessary connections in his brain which will promote intelligence and emotional stability.

What you can do:
  • Raise your child in a warm, loving environment
  • Engage your child in a mentally stimulating activities which help improve his memory, help boost his mental capacity and help sharpen his critical thinking.
  • Introduce your child to formal musical training by age of 4 to make him a stronger science and math student.
  • Limit the amount of time of your child spends watching TV, DVDs and playing video games. Too much time spent doing these add up to poor grades in school.
  • Engage your child in physical activities. It boosts levels of the growth hormone in the brain which makes better brain cells.
  • Keep your child happy, relaxed and stimulated. These are the times when he learns best.
Hope this will help you moms out there. Just read it from a Smart Parenting Magazine and I thought of sharing all these to you!

The MTV Emerge!

Are you a music lover like me? Well, take your time and visit this new MTV Emerge and know who’s gonna be the next emerging star in the Philippines. By the way, this is a new platform for unsigned music talent in the Philippines which showcase their work and be given an opportunity to win a one-year recording contract with Jeepney Music. Take note, the seven grand winners of MTV Emerge will win a one-year recording contract with Jeepney Music and mentorship under Apl.de.Ap. Cool huh! They will be able to meet Apl.de.Ap at the live showcase event on November 27.

By the way, I have chosen my entry in which support goes to Mr. Rain of Wanda. I just love their song so much which brings a good quality of music. I gave two thumbs up for them and hope they will be one of the luckiest emerging star! Guess how they were going to be picked aside from votes that we casted? The grand winners will be selected from the top entries on November 20 by a panel of judges and that includes Apl.de.Ap, founder of Jeepney Music and Black Eyed Peas member.

Before I forgot, the MTV, Jeepney Music, and Department of Tourism collaboration not only aims to hunt for the hottest unsigned music talent from all genres of music but it also serve as an online music community where new music from the Philippines can be discovered.

Well, if you have an entry to support then visit now and let your VOTE counts for you!

Dream Come True!

Last month we attended my brother-in-law’s wedding and it was just so perfect! I guess it is every woman’s dream to walk down the aisle with your dream wedding getting into reality. What I mean is that, the wedding will just happen once in a lifetime so we wanted it to be a memorable event that something we could cherish for the rest of our lives.

Yeah it’s true that we are in the era of economic crisis but still when it comes to this very special day, we still invest or spend money for the wedding preparation even though it just a simple one. Now that I have a friend who will be getting married in two months time, I could highly recommend her to Mr. Buddy Gancenia of Reality wedding video which is the first and only documentary-reality wedding producers in the Philippines and in the world. Pretty sure that their wedding videography is so great and of good quality plus their wedding videographer are all professionals that made their video style production a highly personal and unique. As they have said that there are no two reality wedding videos that are alike. Just imagine on how creative they are!

If only I could turn back time then I would gladly hire them for my wedding videography.

Take a look at their work:

Healthy Smile, Less Cancer!

You know flossing is a great way to fend off gum disease. But cancer? Turns out that there might be a connection. A recent study of lifestyle habits showed that people with healthy gums also enjoyed a lower risk of developing any type of cancer.

Telling Teeth
In the study, researchers used questionnaires to track the health histories and lifestyle habits of close to 50,000 men for nearly 18 years. Compared with men who had no track record of gum problems, men with a history of gum disease were 14 percent more likely to develop cancer -- any kind, although the link was especially strong for lung and pancreatic cancer.

The Gateway to Good Health
How gum problems might lead to cancer isn't totally clear, but other research indicates that people with gum disease usually have higher blood levels of certain inflammatory markers that are also associated with cancer and other health problems. Yep, healthy teeth may mean more than just a pretty smile.
